Let me tell you a little-known secret. Being turned into a vampire doesn’t necessarily guarantee freedom from fear or danger. All of that silly happy-ever-after gibberish about immortality isn’t all it’s cracked up to be either. And furthermore, living forever in a state of bliss and contentedness is actually a blatant lie. I wish someone had told me.
Elizabeth Amarande Rose Bertrand’s first day as a vampire was definitely not what she’d expected, what with nearly losing her beloved twin sister. And after a short reprieve and a warm welcome to Ravenswynd, her new home in England, it gets even worse. Her immortal life takes on a whole new twist and she finds herself living in a perpetual state of fear. Faced with unsettling rumors and revelations, her dreams become real-life nightmares. Suddenly finding herself up to her neck in
a mind-bending abduction,
Elizabeth believes that death
itself would be better
than being bound to someone
she despises - bound by ancient law - for all eternity.
The old saying is only too true
There actually are fates worse than
death - even when you’re a vampire.
And once again…there will be blood.
(This is Book Two in the Ravenswynd Series)

Another good read. The writing was just as good as the first book and unfortunately the overused sugary sweet love musings were there again as well. My main gripe with this book was just how gullible and stupid the main character Elizabeth turned out to be. Her life is in constant danger, which she often forgets somehow, and falls for every half brained scheme to either kidnap, nearly rape or both physically and psychologically harm her. Many times I found myself yelling at my Nook for her to smarten up or at times I just couldn't believe someone this dumb was able to walk and talk at the same time. Hopefully she finds some brains in the next book. Either way I'll be moving on to book #3 later on todayProduct details

Ravenswynd Dreams Ravenswynd Series Book 2 eBook Sharon Ricklin Reviews
I loved this book and the whole series!!!! It was very hard to put down and hated to finish it!!!
I love these books, it's a more grown up kind of vampire story! The characters are so caring and mature, not in any way childish, they care more for each other than their own feelings or fears. It's a true Love story. It's how every woman in the world would want to be cherished and cared for. Not tacky or too mushy but it still get's your heart pumping and excited for more of their story. Don't miss out, it's a great book.
When I purchased my copy of, Ravenswynd Legends, I found it almost impossible to put down! I am a big vampire fan, and I must say that book "quenched my thirst!" Needless to say, when book 2, Ravenewynd Dreams was released, I knew I had to have it. Talk about a page turner! This author knows exactly how to pull the reader into the book and keep those eyes and fingers moving. The characters and settings are described so clearly that you will be seeing them long after you've either forced yourself to close the book, or finished it all together. Whereupon you find yourself counting the days until the next book in the series is released. If you are a vampire fan, don't miss out! If you loved Ravenswynd Legends, you are sure to fall in love with, Ravenswynd Dreams. And if you haven't as yet begun the series, get stared today! I promise you it will get your blood pumping!
Dreams is the second book on the Ravenswynd series. The story picks up where the first book left off. Elizabeth and Emrys are getting ready to enjoy their honeymoon, but with Rohan still lurking in the shadows the couple face a future of uncertainty.
In my review of the first book I wrote about the main characters. This novel brings familiar faces, and some new ones as well. Rohan is a character we met in the first novel, and he is a character you love to hate. He is absolutely despicable, and he makes the perfect villain. I really took a liking to Elizabeth's assistant Kelsey as well. Her story is really touching, and I find myself rooting for her.
The first few chapters of the book moved a little slowly for me. The character interaction between Elizabeth and Emrys just didn't seem to capture me. However, Jones caught my attention when she once again brought the story with Rohan to the forefront. He will go to any lengths to gain the upper hand in his vendetta against Emrys. I can't help but wonder what evil scheme he will put into play next, and that is what will keep me coming back for more.

I loved the first book and I really enjoyed this one. The writing in Ravenswynd Dreams is a little more slow paced than Ravenswynd Legends, so it took me a little longer to read it. This seems to be a great series and I look forward to continue reading it. I recommend this series to those who love reading about vampires and don't mind a bit of a twist.
