I received this book as a gift from the author in exchange for an honest review. That said, I would have bought it anyway! I've enjoyed this series from the first book, and this one is the best so far, Cara is a beautiful, intelligent woman who stands up for herself, yet she's been handicapped all her life, simply because she keeps trying to bail out her jerk of a father, who is an inveterate gambler, in hock to the mob. Mahil is another Sharki Sheikh, and he's as dominant - and as brave and honorable! - as his father and stepbrothers. He'd bought a date with Cara at a charity auction, then was flabbergasted when she didn't show up as promised. He tracked her down at work in NYC, and when he sees her situation, thinks nothing of swooping her off her feet (while she's passed out, exhausted) and loading her onto his jet home! You'll laugh when you read this part. What seems perfectly logical to him has her outraged. of course. But they are each the answer to the other's problems. It's a sweet romance with true-to-life situations, believe it or not. You will actually be rooting for them both, before the book is done. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did,Jgtimm

I'm happy another Sheikh Book by sLeslie I've really enjoyed it it's real good she was suppose to have dinner with him he bought her on auction she stood him up he kidnapped her and then the story gets good so read the book you will enjoy it as much as I did it is that good you want be able to stop until you finish. I love Leslie North! I've read nearly all her books and am usually happy to give her a 4 or 5 Star review. This time however I'm not that excited about this book. It seemed as though to me Ms. North didn't let any relationship develop between the Sheikh and his intended bride. One minute he was at the diner where she worked and the next they were in his homeland, naked in a warm springs pool. She hated him one moment..and was dropping her underware the next. I plan to start another book of Ms. North's soon and I'm really hoping it goes smoother.
